U.S. Consulate welcomes student visitors

SURABAYA- The United States Consulate General in Surabaya has been welcoming dozens of student and school groups to visit it’s new offices.  As part of the U.S. commitment to developing the Comprehensive Partnership with Indonesia, the new Consulate compound is 16 times the size of the former location in downtown Surabaya. In addition to the size, the new consulate has library, cultural center, and reception spaces to receive many guests. Student groups have come from all over East Java, including Nanjuk, Surabaya, Lamogan, Malang, and many more to visit the new space, use the resources available about America, and meet with American representatives.  If your or as school you know is interested in visiting the consulate, they can set up an appointment by contacting the Public Affairs Section (passurabaya@state.gov). Photos of the various visits can be seen on the Consulate Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/surabaya.usconsulate) or twitter feed (www.twitter.com/uscongensby). We hope to see you here!
