Important Notice:  As of December 1, 2009, Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fees must be paid at one of several banks designated to collect MRV fees. 

As of June 4, 2010, the Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fees for U.S. nonimmigrant visas are:

H, L, O, P, Q, and R visas           $150
E visas                                       $390
K visas                                       $350.
Other visa categories, including B-1/B-2, F, J         $140.

All prospective applicants who have paid the current fee of $131 to an off-site fee collector will be required to pay a differential at the Consulate's cashier. The banks will begin collecting $140 from all visa applicants on June 4, 2010, the fee that is associated with the most common types of visas (B1/B2 business/tourist visas; F student visas; and J exchange scholar and trainee visas). 

 

The fee must be paid in Indonesian Rupiah and is non-refundable. Beginning on December 1, 2009, all non-immigrant visa applicants who have appointments for visa interviews at the Consulate General in Surabaya must appear at the Consulate with a Machine Readable Visa (MRV) fee receipt from one of the banks that have been designated as MRV fee collection facilities.  The fee receipt should be stapled to the top left corner of the DS-156 visa application form.  Note:  We require the deposit slip from applicants who pay the MRV fee at Standard Chartered Bank locations.  We require both the deposit slip and the white fee receipt from applicants who pay the MRV fee at Permata Bank locations. Applicants should appear at one of several designated bank branches to pay the MRV fee in advance of the date on which their visa interviews are scheduled.  A list of the participating banks and their addresses follow.  For a detailed description of the MRV fee payment process in English, please click here.

Note:  Applicants who are applying at the Consulate General in Surabaya may pay their MRV fees at any of the MRV fee accepting banks in Indonesia, as listed above.  There may be an additional reciprocity fee for the issuance of certain types of visas. Any additional required fees must be paid in Rupiah to the Consular Cashier at the U.S. Consulate General in Surabaya on the date of the applicant's visa interview.
